Notifications overview

What is this?

The notifications overview is your central hub for all announcements, info and discussions in your choir. Here you see at a glance what the choir director, the board or other authorized members have shared — from the invitation to an extra rehearsal to concert info to voting on the next rehearsal date.

Each notification in the list shows the most important info compactly:

• Title and preview text of the notification
• Author and publication time
• Number of comments and reactions
• Hint about attachments (PDF, image) or an open poll
• Read status — unread notifications are highlighted

How to use the overview

1. Open the Notifications area in the main menu or tap the Notifications tab in the app.
2. Scroll through the list — newest entries are on top. Older notifications load as you scroll.
3. Tap or click a notification to read it in full, comment, react or take part in a poll.
4. Use search at the top of the list to filter by keywords or authors.
5. Switch to the archive when needed to find older or self-archived notifications again.

What else you can see

Right from the overview you can recognize whether a notification contains an open poll and you can still vote. Likewise an attachment icon is shown when files are attached. Notifications with many reactions or comments stand out so you find important discussions quickly.

Permission

You need the View notifications permission to see notifications. This permission is assigned by default to all active members of your choir. Who may compose or edit notifications is governed by the Create & edit notifications permission — typically choir directors and board.

Tips

• Look at the overview regularly even if you have push notifications enabled — that way you do not miss any discussion.
• Use reactions instead of short comments like "Thanks" or "Sounds good" — that keeps the overview tidy and authors still see your feedback.
• Vote in polls early so organizers can plan in time.
• Archive notifications you consider done, to keep your overview tidy — others see nothing of it.

Spotting unread announcements

Announcements you have not opened yet appear in bold in the list and carry a red dot. In addition, the announcements area in the menu shows a red number with all unread announcements from the last 90 days.

An announcement counts as read as soon as it has been shown to you in the list or you open it — your own announcements never count. The number cannot be dismissed in bulk, so nothing important slips through.
